A World Health Organisation report in 2022, revealed that over 70% of Indian adolescents - approximately 45 million children - were not meeting the minimum standards of physical activity.
Without access to sport, kids miss out on more than fitness. This lack of movement has led to far-reaching consequences like increased stress, poor mental health, nutritional deficiencies, and limited reproductive health awareness, especially among girls.

Through inclusive sports programs and community partnerships, HIYN creates safe, supportive spaces where every child can thrive, on and off the field.
Partnering with schools throughout India, the Australian Sports Academy program connects children and young people in marginalised communities with popular Australian team sports such as Netball and AFL (Australian Rules Football). The program offers a rare opportunity for participants to build cultural understanding and develop age-appropriate health, wellbeing, and life skills in a safe, engaging and supportive environment they otherwise wouldn’t have access to.
By supporting both physical health and psychosocial wellbeing, each session nurtures the emotional, social, intellectual and physical development of children and adolescents, helping them grow into confident, respectful and capable adults. Because every child deserves the chance to play, grow and belong.
